Vodka Gimlet
If someone orders a Gimlet, just a Gimlet, the bartender will most likely serve gin, which is the traditional alcohol for this cocktail. If someone orders a Vodka Gimlet, the alcohol of choice is obvious: vodka. If you’re the bartender making a Vodka Gimlet, remember: cold, ice cold vodka. You may even want to keep it in the freezer for a bit. Also key: fresh squeezed limes.
Ingredients
- 2 ounces Tito’s vodka
- 3/4 ounce lime juice, freshly squeezed
- 1/2 ounce simple syrup
- Garnish: lime wheel
Steps
- Add the vodka, lime juice and simple syrup into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Garnish with a lime wheel.
