Mojito
The Mojito comes to us from Cuba and, for fun, you’re welcome to take it to another level by whipping up Mojito ice cubes in advance. Mix 1 ½ cups lime juice and ¼ cup sugar until dissolved. Add 1 cup water and pour into 2 ice cube trays. Place 1 tiny lime wedge + 1 mint leaf in each and freeze.
Ingredients
- 3 mint leaves
- 1/2 ounce simple syrup
- 2 ounces Bacardi White rum
- 3/4 ounce lime juice, freshly squeezed
- Club soda, to top
- Garnish: mint sprig
- Garnish: lime wheel
Steps
- Lightly muddle the mint with the simple syrup in a shaker.
- Add the rum, lime juice and ice, and give it a brief shake.
- Strain into a highball glass over fresh ice.
- Top with the club soda.
- Garnish with a mint sprig and lime wheel.
