Cuba Libre
Noted for its historical significance (literally Free Cuba), this combination of rum, cola, and lime is very easy to drink. Cuba Libre’s origins can be traced to early 1900s Cuba during the Spanish-American War becoming significant first in Cuba and then spreading to the US and other countries; it’s one of the most popular of all alcoholic beverages because it’s low-cost, super easy to make, and absolutely delicious.
Ingredients
- 1 ounce Bacardi White rum
- 3 ounces Coca-Cola
- Garnish: lime wedge
Steps
- Fill a highball glass with ice, then add rum and Coca-Cola.
- Garnish with a lime wedge. Squeeze the lime into your drink, if desired.
