Gimlet
The classic Gimlet became popular in the 50s. One legend has it that the Gimlet first came about when Sir Thomas Gimlette prescribed lime juice with vitamin C to keep sailors in the British Royal Navy from getting scurvy. The sailors had a hard time drinking the sour, and it was soon found that adding a little liquor helped the medicine go down. If the legend is true, this drink went from necessity to the height of fashion over the course of time, so here’s to health and style!
