Irish Coffee
Ahhh, there are many myths surrounding Irish Coffee. The most accepted story occurred when a man named Joe Sheridan wanted to add a little hospitality by offering coffee to those arriving at a location in Ireland. A guest asked if the coffee was Brazilian and he cheekily replied that it was “Irish coffee.” Just as the tale has grown, so too has the drink, which now includes both booze and whipped cream. To make a good Irish Coffee, use quality coffee and make it in a good pot or press because quality makes a difference. Also, remember to keep the hot ingredients piping hot and the cold very cold, so those first sips provide a mouthfeel of hot and cold at once as opposed to a lukewarm mix.
